We are assigned in a group of nine to produce a complete documentation on structural system of a case study. We have explored and understood the concept of structural analysis. We have learned about the identification of structural components and able to recognize, execute and implement basic procedures of building structure design.

This project is divided into two parts. At the first part which is a group component, my groupmates and I have obtained floor plan of a 2 storeys bungalow. We have carried out structural framing and prepare structural drawings for the bungalow. While at the second part of the project which is an individual component, I have individually proposed an extension work to the bungalow that meet the following criteria:

a. The area of extension should not exceed 30% of the existing floor area (max 100m2 each floor)

b. The extension should be sideway.

c. The extension should be of two storeys (foundation plan, ground and first floor plan and roof plan).

2. Frame the extension by using appropriate structural members i.e. columns, beams, slabs, or trusses.

Then, I identified and quantified the load acting on the structure. Analysis of the structure is done. 6 beams and 4 columns of the extension is analized.
