In a group of two, my teammate and I are to begin with a volume in the form of a solid cube 3 x 3 x 3 meter. By selecting British tea culture as our activity, we designed a structure of delight for the purpose of tea drinking. At first, both of us made 3 sketch models so we ended up having 6 sketch models. We started to develop them into a new design by blending in the tea culture. We decided to make the model in cube which British always gives the feeling of well mannered. So we create the model by designing it into a cube. However the middle part of it is twisted or rotated to emphasis the tea drinking as a relaxing time/break time throughout the whole day. Later, we developed our model by replacing the glass windows with empty holes. We decided to blend the exterior and interior space as the British usually have tea drinking session at both indoor space and outdoor space. The holes also show the life cycle of the tea.
