Project 2 GENIUS LOCI: Site Analysis & Concept Development
This project is divided into a group work and an individual work:
Group work: Site conditions & analysis
In a group of five, we have chosen a site to study its conditions and do site analysis of it. We have produced a micro-site digital model recording an area measuring 100m x 100m. We also made historical research to do historical tracings of the site.

Individual work: Personal Interpretation & Concept Development as a response
Individually, I have produced my personal interpretation of the site in the form of sketches. I have concluded by identifying the key characters of place that would form inspiration in the design, and then presented a design concept derived from the issues discovered. This design concept is then presented in the form of drawings and a model.

Through this project, I have learned how to plan and carry out research. I am able to analyse and conclude data and convey/communicate findings. From the individual work, I have learned how to record and analyse the character of place. I also learned how to conclude sense of findings for the subsequent design work and produce a meaningful concept which is communicated well via drawings and model.
