ARCHITECTURE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION 1 (ARC 1523)

Project 2 Integrated Construction Detailing/Drawings

This project is integrated with the final project of Architecture Design Studio 2. I have came out with a design in the project and proposed 3 construction details for selected parts of the building. One of the 3 construction details is foundation of the building which is compulsory. The other 2 construction details are the wooden deck for the veranda and glass louver windows for the upper roof.

I have learned how to choose suitable structural elements and apply structural elements for my design project. I have developed an understanding of the structural elements in construction and its application in the construction industry by doing research during choosing the structural elements to be installed. I also gained knowledge of the build ability of a design. And also, awareness of how buildings are developed in response to practical considerations is demonstrated in this project. I have learned a certain level of manual drawing and sketching skills in this project to produce the presentation board. I also understand more about the construction, materials and technology.
