Project 2 Integration with Design Studio 3

This project is integrated with the final project of Architecture Design Studio 3. Thermalcomfort features are seen as basic principles that must be applied during the design stage and not as anafterthought. I have came out with a design in the project and incorporated thermal comfort in the building. We are supposed to show understanding of thermal comfort properties in final design studio and able to solve design problems in relation to sustainability issues and design spaces in terms of thermal comfort referring to MS1525 and UBBL through this project.

From this project, I have learned how to estimate heat gain in a space and to provide passive solutions for it. I also learned how to evaluate control of variables such as heat and ventilation in a building. I have learned to judge the limits of acceptable or desirable conditions (thermal environment) and recommend designs that control the effects of sun on the thermal performance of buildings (shading devices).
